On June 1, 2008, a group of forward-thinking jazz educators, musicians, and aficionados, organized by Co-Founders Mary Jo Papich and Dr. Lou Fischer, joined together in a Chicago hotel meeting room. Their goal was to create a passionate organization dedicated to building the jazz arts community. Ten years later, we proudly celebrate JEN’s tenth birthday milestone, and we salute its founders and all of the people over the past decade who have given their time, hard work, and dedication to JEN…especially to members such as yourself!
In honor of JEN’s decade of service, we have set a #give10forJEN campaign goal of raising $100,000 for JEN’s educational programming by our 2019 annual conference in Reno in January 2019. Please take a moment and consider giving $10 or more to JEN. By doing so, you will ensure that our scholarship awards, artist mentoring and educational workshops, JAZZ2U grant program, and many other resources for students and educators to benefit from continue to exist.
Thank you for helping us continue our mission of ensuring the future of jazz education!
