Mentoring

The JEN Mentor Program fosters substantive one-to-one mentoring between student musicians and experienced master-level professionals. Join the enthusiastic community of mentors and mentees who are enriching each other’s musical experience through mentorship.

How it works

JEN High School and College Student members are encouraged to apply as mentees, and performers, educators, and music industry professionals are encouraged to apply as mentors. All mentorship programs will last for one school year and mentor sessions can happen in person or via phone/Skype.

“I strongly believe a student is nothing without a great teacher/ mentor. JEN brings together jazz musicians and educators to foster a great environment for students to learn and thrive. JEN is an integral part of a student's inspiration, performance experience and future.”

—Grace Kelly (Internationally-known Saxophonist and JEN mentor)
